Matt makes his living as a farrier. He and his wife Lee Ann and their three children
live near the tiny community of Blackpool in the North Thompson River Valley of BC..  The talent doesn't stop with Matt in this family!

Matt's wife, Lee Ann is an incredible photographer.  She does most all of the photography for Matt's press releases, promotions and album covers.
Robin their oldest daughter 16 sings back up, and is currently taking harmony lessons. Sean who is going on 14,  plays bass which he has been doing since he was age 10. He has a very strong ear for music and can pick up the bass for any music he hears almost instantly.
And a 2 year old that keeps them both going, when they "think" they find a moment of quiet, and finally get a chance to sit down!

Matt enjoys working with horses and starts quite a few colts.  He is also working on becoming a saddle maker.  His goal is to have a saddle shop, continue his work with starting young horses and write songs.   Matt's song writing talent combined with his love of the cowboy culture and life he lives, has resulted in him having been able to produce some wonderful songs that are sure to one day be "Classics"!

Matt has been writing for quite a while but only recently has he began sharing his work on stage. He has been actively entertaining folks at Cowboy festivals and gatherings since 1999.  Matt has also been nominated, ( and we can see why)
for the Academy of Western Artists 2002 "Rising Star Award"

We are positive that his debut recording which features eight of Matt's original songs, as well as twenty three brand new poems by Mike Puhallo,

Cowboy / Musician / Singer /Song Writer
We first met Matt at the Kamloops Cowboy Festival in Kamloops Canada. Kamloops is an extremely beautiful and small Cowboy community in the Providence of British Columbian Canada.  We had the opportunity and the pleasure to be at the 2003 Festival with the Love of the West Film Crew and Debra Coppinger Hill.

It is a pleasure to add Matts work and Music to this site for you to enjoy!
