Mike is a widely published cowboy poet and is one of the very few Cowboy Poets in
the world to actually make a living from his cowboy poetry. He is the only cowboy poet
to have his work read into the official record at a NASA launch and in the Canadian
House of Commons.

Mike "Lives" and believes in the values and traditions passed down by the working
cowboy.  The hardships and loss, The pleasures and Joys.
Cowboy & Ranch life provides for a world of unbelievable wealth in what really matters
most in life.
Mike is the real thing! He has been a working cowboy, a saddle bronc rider, a packer,
and a horse trainer, most all of his life.

Mikes work, his poetry and speeches are based on the realities of Cowboy life.
Realities of living Today, and through history, reflections of Yesterday.
He takes his readers and audiance on real life journey's.
A Cowboys life journey, in true Western light.

Mike has been instrumental in establishing The BC Cowboy Hall of Fame, and has
served four years as President of the BC Cowboy Heritage Society.
In addition to everything else, Mike provides his knowledge and assistance for helping
the careers of other talented Cowboys or Cowgirls. Allowing them to share their voices.
All in the True Spirit of Cowboy Tradition! And Keeping those traditions Alive.
Mike is Truly a remarkable and talented man, That this world is a better place for
having him here.
We first met Mike, as well as some of the other Writers and performers who's incredible
talent appear on this site,  at the Kamloops Cowboy Festival in Kamloops Canada.
Kamloops is an extremely beautiful and small Cowboy community located in British
Columbian Canada.  We had the opportunity and the pleasure to be at the 2003 Festival
with the Love of the West Film Crew and Host Debra Coppinger Hill.

It was a pleasure and great honor to "finally" be able to meet Mike, and to add his work
to this site for you to enjoy!
Mike is living example of everything honest and true in Cowboy Tradition! And through
his work, he is a leader in keeping that tradition alive.
